Hear About The Proposed Route 1 Zoning Changes

From Town Planner Paige Duncan: The EDC and Planning Board will hold an informational session on proposed amendments to the Route 1 zoning on the evening of April 10th.

The zoning proposals to be voted at the May 14th Town Meeting are quite detailed but are extremely important to the future of the Town of Foxborough. During the Master Plan process, residents identified Route 1 as the “economic engine” for Foxborough, and many financial models for Foxborough’s future are based on projected revenues from high quality development anticipated to be built on Route 1. Without approval of these zoning amendments at the Annual Town Meeting, the high quality development envisioned is unlikely to come to fruition.
