Hold Up on That Donald Trump Endorsement from Tom Brady
The Patriots quarterback says his comments were blown out of proportion.

Time to pump the breaks on Tom Brady’s apparent endorsement of Donald Trump for President.
The Patriots quarterback told WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan Monday morning that his comments were blown out of proportion.
“It’s just a different world than when I started in professional football,” Brady said during his weekly radio spot. “Even an off-handed comment like that, like you said, that people may run with. And I understand why people do run with it because you get the clicks and that type of stuff. It’s just people doing their job. A comment like that, I try to have fun with certain things, a lot of time they get taken out of context.”

Brady added that he hasn’t paid attention to politics in years and is unsure of what the issues are.
Earlier this month, Brady was asked about his support for Trump after reporters noticed a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker. When asked if he thought the reality TV star and businessman could become the commander-in-chief, he replied, “I hope so. That would be great. There’d be a putting green on the White House lawn, I’m sure of that.”
