A Jets Fan Had This Banner Flown Over Patriots Training Camp

A Jets fan took to the sky for some trolling on the first day of training camp for the Patriots.

No matter the time of day or location, Deflategate always seems to pop up for the New England Patriots and their fans. As the defending Super Bowl champions prepare for the new season, the matter of PSI in a football and not traditional training camp topics like who is fighting for a spot on the team remains the top story around Gillette Stadium.

Fans and players got a reminder of that Thursday when a plane carrying a sign that read “Cheaters look up!” appeared above the practice field behind the stadium during the first day of training camp.

Now the question is, who would spend money on such a gesture? Is it a bitter Seahawks fan? A member of the Bills Mafia? Or could it be a Colts or Ravens supporter still sore about losing to the Pats in the playoffs? In this case, the most obvious answer is the truth: a Jets fan.

Attached to the banner was the Twitter handle @NYJetsFanMedia, a Jets fan account as the name implies. The stunt likely got a chuckle from at least a few of the 10,000 fans who attended the first practice of training camp.

While Jets fans will surely be laughing at this attempt at trolling, the arrest of defensive end Sheldon Richardson for allegedly driving driving 143 mph and resisting arrest 12 days after receiving a four-game ban for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy means bigger worries for New York supporters than deflated balls.
