Last Hurrah For Foxborough Against Diabetes 5K

The annual race will hold their last run June 3.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The 17th running of the Foxborough Against Diabetes 5K will be the last for long-running charity run.

Friday night, the event organizers announced on Facebook that the race will not continue beyond 2017. No reason was given other than it was the choice of the event's committee.

"After careful consideration, the FAD committee has decided this June will be the final Foxboro Against Diabetes 5K. Thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, donors, participants, and especially those who inspire us to continue this fight. While the FAD race may be ending, our fight to make diabetes a disease of the past carries on," the announcement read.
