Late Labor Day Could Mean Tight Scheduling for Foxborough Schools

A late Labor Day could cause school to start before the holiday.

A late Labor day has the Foxborough School Committee mulling opening schools before the holiday.

School committee members said at a recent meeting that they would like to hear from residents before they make their decision according to the Foxboro Reporter.

Of the three options given by Superintendent Debra Spinelli, the following two were considered the most viable:

  • Students start school on Sept. 8 and finish school on June 22 with no snow days.
  • Students start school on Sept. 1 and finish school on June 17 with no snow days.

Spinelli said teachers are also invited to give their input to which plan gives the most educational benefit.
