Liquor License Request Part of Special Town Meeting Warrant

The license is being requested for beer and wine seller Hops and Grapes.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Town Meeting will be asked to vote on an additional package store all-alcohol license for a business on Route 140.

If passed, Article 17 will give the town permission to petition the state for the extra license in the Route 140 node. The license is a being asked for Hops and Grapes, a beer and wine store in the Foxborough Plaza, commonly referred to as the former Bradlees Plaza. The store was originally part of a request for more licenses at this year's Annual Town Meeting but was dropped at the request of other liquor stores in town.

At the time, the Hops and Grapes beer and wine license was sought by Normandy Farms, who had an interest in featuring a small collection of alcohol inside their on-site store.

Also on the agenda are several budget and zoning housekeeping items, an article to allow for more uses at campgrounds, and a request to increase the requirement for a demolition perform from a building that's 50 years old to 75.

The Special Town Meeting is scheduled for Dec. 5 at Foxborough High School.
