Local Students Compete in 'Amazing Race' at Foxboro Y
The Amazing Race Event was held on Sunday, Jan. 15 at the Foxborough YMCA.
Local students participated in the 'Amazing Race' on Sunday at the Foxboro YMCA branch. Hosted by the Tri-Town Drug and Alcohol Awareness Partnership, mixed teams from Foxborough High, Mansfield High and Norton High School, “raced around the world", as they completed various challenges on their way to the finish line.
The challenges tested students’ problem solving skills, coordination, stamina, and ability to persevere as they navigated through their eleven-country course.
State Representative Jay Barrows was very pleased with the success of the event.

"Extremely pleased with the outcome of the Tri Town Drug and Alcohol "Amazing Race" on Sunday," wrote Rep. Barrows on his Facebook page. "A very special thank you to all the faculty, town officials, administration, parents, volunteers and especially the students that made the night truly successful."

The mission of the Tri-Town Drug and Alcohol Awareness Partnership is "to reduce the incidence of underage drinking and substance abuse in the communities of Foxborough, Mansfield, and Norton, through increased awareness and education, and collaboration among key stakeholders in all three communities."
