Lunch Prices to Increase at Foxborough Schools

The school committee voted to increase the price of lunch this week.

Students in Foxborough will pay a little more for their lunch this year.

Monday night, the Foxborough school committee voted to increase the price of lunch by a dime according to the Sun Chronicle. This brings the price of a meal to $2.60 at the elementary schools, and $2.85 at the middle and high schools.

According to Business Manager Bill Yukna, the increase was needed to meet federal standards since the department receives federal financial assistance for free and reduced-price lunches for low-income families.
