Madden NFL 18 Features Tom Brady

FOXBOROUGH–Madden 18 is aiming to become the greatest of all time. It's only fitting it puts the greatest of all time on its cover.

One of the most popular video game franchises ever is plopping New England quarterback Tom Brady's likeness on the cover, an annual right reserved for the most visible, important, and popular players in the NFL. Madden is calling this the G.O.A.T. edition (Greatest Of All Time.)

It's the second straight year a Patriot has graced the cover of Madden. Rob Gronkowski was the cover player for Madden 17. Gronkowsi fell victim to the Madden Curse, which often sees star players on the cover of the game suffer serious injuries. He missed the end of the season and the playoffs after back surgery.

Brady, in what is somewhat shockingly his first appearance on the cover, is the oldest player to be so honored. The five-time Super Bowl champion turns 40 in August.
