Martin and Neal Lead Foxborough Football Past Milford
The two running backs combined for five touchdowns in the Warriors 40-21 win over Milford.

The Foxborough Warriors knew one thing going into Friday night’s game against the Milford Scarlet Hawks - make a lot of noise with offense or pay the price.
Needless to say, there was plenty of noise coming from the Warriors’ offense. With Ronnie Martin and Keeyon combining for over 200 yards rushing and five touchdowns, the Warriors remain undefeated in Davenport Division play with a 40-21 win over Milford.
“I felt that we had to have an offensive explosion because they’re pretty good offensively as well. They have three explosive kids and as long as we could match them score for score and get a couple of turnovers I thought we had a chance,” Foxborough head coach Jack Martinelli said.

The offensive explosion and turnovers are exactly what the Warriors got in the first quarter. Martin used tough running to rush for 33 yards on three plays in the opening drive to get the Warriors down to the Milford nine-yard line.
Nolan Rogers (103 yards passing) capped off the drive with a pass to Austin Ryan to put the Warriors up 7-0 early in the first quarter.

On defense the Warriors found themselves two for two when it came to getting turnovers in the first quarter. After letting Quentin Orr rush up the left sideline for a 32 yard gain, Foxborough forced a fumble that was recovered by Jake Pond at the Foxborough 16-yard line.
Martin continued to produce for Foxborough’s on the resulting drive, scoring on a 44-yard run that put Foxborough up 13-0. The two-point conversion afterwards was no good.
Milford tried to gain momentum on their second drive of the game, yet a stout Foxborough defense forced little to no results early on for the scarlet hawks. After earning a first down at their own 34-yard line, Milford quarterback John Hearns was sacked by Liam Whiting and Jaylyn Jackson for an eight yard loss.
On the next play, Jackson took advantage of a bad snap, recovering the ball for the Warriors.
The second quarter belong to Keeyon Neal who picked up two of his three scores during both Warriors possessions in the second frame.
Taking advantage of great field position on a kickoff return by Pond, Neal was able to turn the let corner for a nine-yard touchdown to make it 20-7.
After letting up a Milford touchdown on a keeper by Hearns, Neal responded with a seven-yard rush with a minute to go in the first half.
Neal’s final score came on third and goal from the one-yard line when a toss pass allowed him to make it a 33-14 game.
Martin’s nine-yard run, untouched, into the end zone with 7:07 left in the game capped off the Foxborough win.
Late in the fourth quarter, former Warrior Nylik Feaster, who recently moved from Foxborough to Milford, scored against his former team on a 20-yard run.
The Warriors improve to 3-0 in league play and 4-1 overall. Next week, Foxborough hosts Canton.
