Meet the New Taylor School Principal

Dr. Moira Rodgers, currently the Director of Innovative Learning for the Learning Collaborative, has been named the new head of the school.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Taylor Elementary School has their new principal.

Superintendent Debra Spinelli announced last week that Dr. Moira Rodgers, currently the Director of Innovative Learning for the Learning Collaborative, has been name the new head of the school. She starts her new job July 1.

"I'm really thrilled to be able to come back to a school-based setting, to be a colleague with teachers and help support best practices so we can provide the best education for students who come to our school," Rodgers said at last week's school committee meeting.

Rodgers comes to Foxborough with 2o years in public education. The Taylor School position represents a return to public schools. She was previously the principal of Rochester Memorial School for the 2012-13 school year, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She is a graduate of the Universtiy of Massachusetts and received her master's degree in education from Boston College in 1993. She received her doctorate in education from Noreastern Univestiy in 2012.

The search committee received 46 applicants for the opening, Spinelli said.
