Moving Wall Vietnam Memorial Coming To Foxborough

The Moving Wall travels across the country. It's a half-sized replica of Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A mobile Vietnam War memorial will be in Foxborough for Veterans Day and the weekend leading up to the holiday.

From Thursday, Nov. 8 through Monday, Nov. 12, Patriot Place will host the Moving Wall, the half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. For people that have not seen this monument, the Moving Wall travels across the country, giving people an opportunity to honor the brave men and women that sacrificed their lives for our country.

“More than 58,000 brave men and women paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending our country during the Vietnam War,” said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft. “We are honored to host this memorial at Patriot Place during Veterans Day weekend. We hope that New Englanders will join us to celebrate the lives of these ultimate Patriots.”

Upon its completion in 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial became a national monument. Two years later, the Moving Wall was built and began touring the United States. Inscribed in the wall are the names of more than 58,000 men and women, listed in chronological order of when they lost their lives during the Vietnam War.

The Moving Wall will be located in parking lot 5 at Gillette Stadium. Visitors are asked to use P1 entrance and follow signage to parking lot 5. Spectators will have an opportunity to visit the wall starting at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 8 until 12:00 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 12.

The memorial is open to the public for all hours of the day and night. Parking at Gillette Stadium and admission to visit the Moving Wall are free.
