Name Of Victim In Fatal Route 1 Crash Released

Stephen Boyd was on his motorcycle on Route 1 South when a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix​ on the northbound side struck him.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — State police have released the name of the man who died in a fatal crash on Route 1 Friday morning.

Stephen Boyd, 56 of Millis, was on his motorcycle on Route 1 South when a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix on the northbound side of the road struck him while taking a left turn to enter a parking lot. Boyd was transported to Norwood Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The operator of the Pontiac, a 20-year-old woman from Plainville, was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, state police said.

No charges have been filed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
