The New England Patriots are one of three professional sports teams declaring their support for gay marriage.
The Patriots, along with the San Francisco Giants and Tampa Bay Rays, recently joined thousands of businesses, religious groups, advocacy groups, and politicians in filing legal briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court in support of gay marriage according to ESPN.
The case, which comes from Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee, will start with oral arguments on April 28 with a decision expected during the summer.

The Patriots were one of 379 signees on the brief, in addition to the dozens of other briefs submitted featuring the support of thousands of parties in favor of gay marriage.
