The Revs and Galaxy face off on Dec. 7 at 3:00 p.m.

The New England Revolution’s opponent in the MLS Cup will be a familiar one. For the third time, the Revs will face the LA Galaxy for the title of Major League Soccer’s best team.

The Galaxy earned a trip to their ninth appearance in the final after beating the Seattle Sounders earning a 2-2 tie on aggregate goal in the Western Conference Championship. Los Angeles advances thanks to the away goal tie breaker.

In 2002 and 2005 the Revs fell to the Galaxy in the championship match. Both games were 1-0 in favor of the Galaxy with the goal coming in extra time.
