New Town Hall Groundbreaking Set for Tuesday

The town will hold the ceremony at 6 p.m.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - After years of work, discussions, votes, construction on a new Town Hall will start Tuesday.

At 6 p.m., the town will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new building.

Voters at February's Special Town Meeting voted to allow the town to borrow $6.8 million to build a new 16,476-square-foot building which will replace the current Town Hall. The new building will remain at the current South Street site and will be constructed in the Town Hall parking lot.

Construction is estimated to take 14-16 months.
