Is the NFL Investigating the Gronk Party Cruise?

An NFL attorney says they are but a spokesman says otherwise.

Amidst the dancing, games and partying on Rob Gronkowski’s party cruise might be an NFL rules violation.

A league lawyer told Brian New of CBS Dallas-Fort Worth that the league is investigating the Patriots tight end’s cruise to see if it violated the NFL gambling policy.

The development came during a trial between Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and the league over a fantasy football event held on casino property. Romo’s attorney argued that the policy is inconsistently enforced, pointing to the party ship as an example.

The league attorney, however, stated that the cruise is under investigation.

The attorney seemed to contradict a statement from a league spokesman who says they are not investigating the cruise.



Last week, Gronkowski and 700 people sailed from Miami to the Bahamas. The event featured a question and answer session with the Gronkowski clan, all-night partying, and live entertainment.
