Nine Liquor License Requests Pass Town Meeting

The town will now petition the state for the licenses.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - Nine more liquor licenses are a step closer to coming to Foxborough.

Monday night the Annual Town Meeting approved the licenses, which were spread out across three articles. The town will now petition the state legislature for approval.

The work of the Economic Development Committee, all nine licenses are locked into three nodes arraigned by geography. Three are zoned for the downtown area, two for Route 140 between Foxborough Plaza and the Mansfield town line, and four for Route 1. A package store license was removed from the Route 140 area due to concerns from current license holders.

Also approved at town meeting was the $69.2 million budget for fiscal year 2017.
