No Days Off! Patriots Practice Despite Major Snowstorm

At least they got to work out in the field house.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Local officials and police and fire departments have been warning people to stay off the roads Thursday and work from home if possible. Guess who ignored that suggestion? Here's a hint - it's an NFL team and their coach once started a "no days off" chant.

The Patriots reported to practice at Gillette Stadium Thursday with the expectation that everyone would be on time, despite the fact that Foxborough is under a winter storm warning and parts of the state are under a blizzard warning.

Luckily, the team practiced in the field house. Quarterback Tom Brady said it would have been near impossible to work out outside. The team was able to get to the stadium before the snow began to come down, he said.

"It would have been interesting if we played today. I don't know what would have happened. Would have been tough, kinda like that one Buffalo had against Indy," Brady said.

Coach Bill Belichick has no patience for tardiness, no matter the situation. He infamously sent Randy Moss, Derrick Burgess, Adalius Thomas, and Gary Guyton home during the 2009 season when they were late for an 8 a.m. meeting due to inclement weather.
