Police Release Identity of Norton Man Killed in I-495 Wrong Way Crash
Also, a Barnstable woman was taken to the hospital after a crash that took place between exits 13 and 14 in Plainville.
PLAINVILLE MA — State police are investigation a fatal crash that took place on Interstate 495 in Plainville near the Foxborough line. At approximately 2 a.m. Thursday morning, police received reports of a wrong-way driver traveling north on Interstate 495 South between exits 13 and 14.
Patrols immediately responded to the area. Upon arrival they found that the wrong-way vehicle had crashed into an oncoming vehicle, state police said.

The wrong-way driver, identified as James Keating, 22, of Norton, died from injuries obtained in the crash, police said. The driver of the other vehicle, a 21-year-old Barnstable woman was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

State police have not released the name of the Barnstable woman.
The right and middle lanes were closed for a police investigation.
