Foxborough One of Few Remaining Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grills

FOXBOROUGH, MA — If you love Toby Keith and have an equal amount of love for his bar and grill, Foxborough is one of the few place to go if you want to dine in his restaurant while enjoying a country tune.

Rumors of the Foxborough location's impending demise bounced around town last year, but the establishment remains open in the shadow of Gillette Stadium.

“When my 65-year-old grandmother started asking, I knew word was getting around,” former manager Barry Birks said during a hearing for a managerial change.

Birks told the board that he moved to Arizona to be closer to the restaurant's headquarters and save the Foxborough location. In recent years, several other locations have abruptly closed.

“There was some gross mismanagement and grand theft at the corporate level and it caused them to start to fall like dominoes,” Birks said. “It’s not out of the woods yet but sales are looking great."

Replacing Burke will be Scott Bowin, who has worked at the Foxborough location since it opened in 2010.
