Tuesday Night Power Outage Left Over 1,500 Homes Without Electricity in Foxborough
A power outage left many across town without electricity Tuesday evening.

Update: As of midnight, all but 54 homes have power. The remaining homes should have electricity again by 8 a.m. according to the National Grid outage map.

Over 1,500 residents in Foxborough are without power Tuesday evening due to an issue with a transformer.

As of 8:22 p.m., 1,534 customers are in the dark due to a widespread outage. According to the company’s outage map, homes from the intersection of Mechanic and Chestnut Streets all the way to portions of Spruce, West, and South Streets in South Foxborough do not have electricity.
National Grid estimates that power will be restored around 10 p.m.
