Over 2500 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Foxboro
Foxborough residents joined together on Saturday, September 16th to walk and raise money for Alzheimer research and treatment.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - From the Walk to End Alzheimer's: Today, more than five million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s—a disease that currently cannot be prevented, treated or even cured. United in a movement to reclaim the future for millions, more than 2500 people joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s Neponset Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s® at Patriot Place in Foxborough on Saturday, September 16.
Along with turning the streets of Foxborough purple—the color of the Alzheimer’s movement—participants learned about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with advocacy opportunities, clinical studies participation and Alzheimer’s Association services. The event also included a ceremony emceed by Breana Pitts from CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV with an emotional tribute to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s.
The Neponset Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s goal was to raise $432,000 for the event. Prior to the Walk, the event had raised over $315,000. The total amount raised for the day of the event is still being calculated, but the Alzheimer’s Association urges participants to continue fundraising. Donations for the Walk will be accepted until October 31. To donate visit: act.alz.org/NeponsetValley.
