Partners in Patriotism Fund Awards Grant to Friends of Foxborough Recreation

The grant will fund the installation of a projector and electronic whiteboard at the Foxboro Recreation Hall.

The Partners in Patriotism Fund recently awarded the Friends of Foxboro Recreation a grant of $3,102 to install a projector and electronic whiteboard at the Foxboro Rec. Hall. Foxboro Recreation Director Debbie Giardino accepted the donation on behalf of the Friends of Foxboro Recreation and thanked the Partners in Patriotism Fund for its support.

“The Friends of Foxboro Recreation is so grateful for the Partners in Patriotism Fund’s generous donation,” Giardino said. “This equipment will enable Foxboro Recreation to organize and host more events for the community and give Foxborough groups and civic organizations another town building to utilize for meetings with the most current technology.”

This equipment also gives Foxboro Recreation the ability to offer movie and activity nights for youth in the community and could possibly lead to Foxboro Recreation offering courses in Microsoft Powerpoint and other software programs.

“This is a win-win,” Giardino said. “Foxboro Recreation is able to offer more events with options and Town departments and civic groups have another Town building to use with current technology. Without this room, these groups would either be unable to meet or be forced to rent space elsewhere.”
