Partners in Patriotism Fund Awards Grant to Support Foxborough High School Cheerleaders
Foxborough High School Cheerleaders are fundraising for the team's trip to Orlando, Fla. to compete in Nationals in March.

The Partners in Patriotism Fund recently awarded the Foxborough High School varsity cheerleading team with a grant of $5,000 to support the team’s fundraising efforts to compete in the National Cheerleading competition March 23-27 in Orlando, Fla.
“The team was overjoyed to receive the $5,000 grant from the Partners in Patriotism Fund,” said FHS Cheerleading coach Rachel Connor. “It is such an honor to know the Kraft Group and community support and believe in our girls. Qualifying for Nationals is no easy task, as the competition is tough, so this grant truly helps alleviate some of the financial burden to attend the competition. The team is committed to working hard and they want nothing more than to make Foxborough proud.”
The cheerleading team won states in their division and placed third in Regionals to qualify for the National competition. This is only the second time in the last seven years that the cheerleading team has qualified for Nationals.

“Our cheerleaders work tirelessly in the gym, over 15 hours a week practicing, cheering for our sports teams, maintaining academic excellence, working within the community at charitable events and fundraising on a regular basis,” Connor said. “The outpouring of community support since qualifying for Nationals has given them an extra boost of determination and for that they are truly thankful.”
To date, the team has raised approximately $10,000, but still needs an additional $9,000 to reach their fundraising goal for the trip to the Nationals. Donations can be sent to FHS Cheer Booster President Donna Sheehan at:
