Patriot Place to Host 5th Annual Chili Bowl Cook Off Presented By Bass Pro Shops

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – For the fifth consecutive year, Patriot Place will combine chili and celebrities for charity at the annual Chili Bowl Cook Off presented by Bass Pro Shops on Saturday, April 2, from 1-3 p.m.

The event, located at Bass Pro Shops, will feature the best chili from nine participating Patriot Place restaurants and a panel of celebrity judges, including New England Patriots defensive end Rob Ninkovich, Patriots Alumni President Peter Brock and cast members from National Geographic's hit TV show, "Wicked Tuna." The judges will sample and vote on each restaurant's entry to determine the winner for best chili. An additional Fan Favorite award will be given to the restaurant that receives the most votes from guests in attendance. Admission is $5 with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Hockomock Area YMCA’s Reach Out For Youth & Families Campaign, which kicked off at Gillette Stadium on March 17 and aims to raise more than $1 million in 2016.

“The Chili Cook Off continues to grow in popularity as last year’s event was our most successful to date in terms of attendance and funds raised for our charitable partner, the Hockomock Area YMCA,” said Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley. “We are thrilled to partner again with Bass Pro Shops and many of our Patriot Place restaurants to support the Y’s mission of helping and supporting local families in need.”

If you are a fan of National Geographic’s hit TV show, “Wicked Tuna,” then you won’t want to miss a special meet and greet with Captain Dave Carraro and First Mate Sandro Maniaci from the FV-Tuna.com boat. Join Carraro and Maniaci at Fanautical on Saturday, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to shop the fishermen’s official merchandise and have your photo taken with them. Following the meet and greet, Carraro and Maniaci will join other celebrities to judge the Chili Cook Off.
