Patriots DL Zach Moore Participates in Third Annual Clean Up Foxboro Day

Foxborough resident Maddie Flynn wins Patriots raffle prize at town-wide event.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – More than 400 volunteers rolled up their sleeves and fanned out to pick up trash across more than 40 routes during the third annual Clean Up Foxboro Day on Saturday, May 2.

Joining volunteers from many civic and fraternal organizations, Scout groups, businesses and neighborhoods in the town-wide event was New England Patriots defensive lineman Zach Moore, who joined a team of Kraft Group employees in the clean-up effort.

Following the clean-up, volunteers enjoyed a cookout as members from the Foxboro Fish and Game prepared the food provided by Jake ‘n Joes while DJ Matt Anderson from Bristol Street Entertainment provided entertainment. Moore spent the majority of the cookout interacting with many of the volunteers, posing for photos and signing autographs.

“It’s great to see so many people who care about their community and want to make it a cleaner place,” Moore said. “This is a fun event and I’m happy I was able to be a part of it and meet so many of the volunteers.”

Event organizers A.J. Dooley of Dooley Disposal Services, Town Historian Jack Authelet and Foxborough resident Tina Belanger applauded the volunteers for helping clean up the town after a record-setting winter.

“These clean up days are a meaningful demonstration of how people working together can make a dramatic difference in just a few hours,” Belanger said. “Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped beautify our town again this year. I hope everyone leaves with a great feeling of accomplishment and a good sense of community.”

Foxborough resident Maddie Flynn won the event’s raffle prize of two tickets to a regular season Patriots game, preferred parking, two passes to the Dana-Farber Field House Tailgate Party and two pre-game field passes to watch the Patriots warm up prior to kickoff. The prize was donated by the Kraft Group and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.
