Patriots Initial 53 Man Roster For The 2024 NFL Season

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Cut-down day in the NFL can be one of the most stressful for players on the fringe of roster decisions.

On Tuesday, the New England Patriots needed to make final cuts to get down to the NFL-mandated roster size of 53.

Some familiar faces will likely be elsewhere once the season starts while others are, at least initially, getting a chance — or another chance — to prove themselves at the NFL level.

As a note, five players have been added to reserve lists, allowing them to return at some point this NFL season but not initially taking up a roster spot while coming back from injury.

They include Kendrick Bourne, Christian Barmore, Marte Mapu, Cole Strange and Sione Takitaki.
