Patriots Legend Steve Nelson and Stop and Shop Deliver Donation to Hockomock YMCA

The Patriots hall of famer recently helped deliver a donation to the YMCA in Foxborough.

On Tuesday, September 16, Stop & Shop Supermarket teamed up with New England Patriots Alum Steve Nelson to deliver a surprise donation to the Hockomock Area YMCA’s Invensys Foxborough branch.

As part of the 100th anniversary of the supermarket chain, Stop & Shop New England is donated $1,000 to 100 New England non-profit organizations every day starting on Memorial Day and throughout the summer, including the Hockomock YMCA, through the 100 Days of Giving program. These donations are in addition to the $15 million in donations to hunger relief organizations and children’s health and wellness programs in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island this year.

During the visit, the kids of the YMCA presented Stop and Shop with a special birthday card and Nelson joined the kids for an arts and crafts session.
