Arrington, who signed a four-year deal in 2013, was expected to make $3 million in base salary this upcoming season and 3.5 million in 2016.

Formerly a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arrington joined the Patriots in 2009 as a member of the practice squad before earning a promotion to the 53-man roster.
In his 87 regular season games with the team, he recorded nine interceptions and 291 tackles.
