Patriots to Release Kyle Arrington

The Patriots will part ways with another cornerback today.

League sources tell the Boston Globe that Kyle Arrington will be let go by the team.

Arrington, who signed a four-year deal in 2013, was expected to make $3 million in base salary this upcoming season and 3.5 million in 2016.

Formerly a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arrington joined the Patriots in 2009 as a member of the practice squad before earning a promotion to the 53-man roster.

In his 87 regular season games with the team, he recorded nine interceptions and 291 tackles.
