Patriots Sign Former Cardinals WR Michael Floyd

Floyd was released following an OUI arrest but is on his way to Foxborough.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Patriots will reportedly add some depth at wide receiver to make up for the loss of Danny Amendola to injury.

The Patriots have claimed Arizona Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd off of waivers, the team announced Thursday night. He was released by the Cardinals Wednesday following an arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Floyd comes to New England after spending his career in Arizona. He was the 13th pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and played college football at Notre Dame.
