Patriots' Top Draft Pick Suffers Knee Injury; May Be Done For Season
Sources tell ESPN that defensive end Derek Rivers went down with a knee injury at practice this week.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The New England Patriot's top pick of the 2017 NFL Draft could be done for the season.
Sources tell ESPN that defensive end Derek Rivers went down with a knee injury during a kickoff coverage drill during Wednesday's join-practice with the Houston Texans in West Virginia. Rivers has returned to Boston for testing, which have indicated that there's a good chance that Rivers' rookie campaign has ended before it had a chance to begin.
Rivers, a Youngstown State product, was the 83rd overall pick of this year's draft.
