FOXBOROUGH, MA — Police are now involved in the sudden closure of Chic 2 Chic consignment shop.
The Foxborough Police Department confirmed Thursday night that they have an ongoing investigation into the matter.
Consumers who are seeking a refund or the return of their property are advised to file a claim in small claims court. They can also call the Small Claims Court Advisory Service at 617-497-5690 or reach them online at MaSmallClaims.org.

Consumers may also file a complaint with the Attorney General's office.
If the business has or will file for bankruptcy, consumers will be able to file a proof of claim in bankruptcy court to recover what they are owed if there are enough assets.

Wednesday, consignment shop suddenly closed, only posting a note on the door and on their website that they are permanently closed with a promise of releasing more information soon. As of Friday afternoon, no new information has been posted.
The store, which moved to the former CVS at the center of town in 2011 and then the former Ocean State Job Lot on Route 140 in 2014, sold second-hand clothing and accessories on behalf of their owners. Now thousands of dollars worth of merchandise remains locked inside, with some sellers who banked their sales in store credit wondering if they will ever see their cash.
