Report: NFLPA to Appeal Brady Suspension in Federal Court

Jim Trotter of ESPN is reporting that Brady has given the NFL Players’ Association permission to appeal his case in federal court.

If the court decides to hear the case and give Brady an injunction, his suspension would be put on hold, allowing him to play until the case is decided.

On Thursday, the NFL released their appeal decision for Brady, who was suspended for his alleged role in the Deflate scandal. Originally suspended for four games, Brady’s suspension was not reduced.

Shortly after the announcement, the NFL asked a federal court in Manhattan to confirm the Brady suspension according to Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg News. The move is an attempt keep the case out of Manhattan; Massachusetts; and Minnesota, places which could give Brady a favorable ruling.
