Residents Warned to Look Out for Attempted Break-in Suspect Near Plainville Town Line

Police are looking for a woman who attempted to break into a home near the Foxborough-Plainville town line.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - Residents in South Foxborough are being asked to be on the lookout for a suspect in an attempted break-in in Plainville.

On Friday afternoon, the Plainville Police Department received a call from a resident on Appletree Drive near Mirimichi Street for a report of a female that attempted to break into a residence. A male resident inside prevented the female from entering the residence. Cruisers were dispatched to the area but were unable to locate the female.

Further investigation of the incident revealed that a neighbor on Deerfield Drive had a similar encounter with the same female shortly before the Appletree Drive incident. The female claimed that while walking her dog and looking at houses, she lost her iPod.

The female is described as being in her late 20s to early 30s, but appearing older. She had brown hair that was pulled back and was wearing a purple fleece or sweatshirt and jeans.

The Foxborough Police Department is asking residents to look out for the suspect because Spruce Street in Foxborough turns into Mirimichi Street at the Plainville town line.
