Rob Gronkowski Injured, Won't Play Sunday

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski won't play in the season opener at Arizona Sunday night, the team announced Friday night.

A hamstring injury had Gronkowski limited in practice of late. As is usually the case, he didn't play this preseason.

The Patriots have one of the league's best No. 2 tight ends in Martellus Bennet, who will be making his debut with the team.

Offensive linemen Nate Solder and Jonathan Cooper will also be out with injuries. Tom Brady is serving the first leg of his four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate.
