Rob Gronkowski Out Against Buccaneers
The tight end was a surprise addition to the inactive list.

TAMPA BAY, FL — New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will not play Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gronkowski was announced as a part of the inactive list. Reports of his inclusion were reported earlier in the day by Adam Schefter of ESPN. He was seen arriving at Raymond James Stadium with a wrap around his left thigh.
Prior to Thursady's game, Gronkowski was added to the injury report Wednesday with a thigh injury and was listed as questionable. He was not on the report Monday or Tuesday.

News of an injury to the tight end will surely make Patriots fans nervous. Last season, was placed on injured reserve and only played eight games before suffering a back injury. Prior to that injury, he suffered a knee injury following a direct hit by TJ Warn in a 2013 game against the Cleveland Browns, underwent back surgery in the summer of 2013, injured his arm against the Miami Dolphins in 2012, and had his first back surgery while in college at the University of Arizona.
The Patriots play the Bucs at 8:25 p.m. Thursday night.
