New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was among the government and business leaders who dined with President Trump Monday night at a Treasury Department dinner in Washington, D.C., according to Bloomberg. The dinner honored Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.

Kraft sat one seat away from Trump. In between them was International Monetary Fund Chairwoman Christine Lagarde, recently tapped to lead the European Central Bank.

Kraft has kept a low profile since he was charged in prostitution sting in southern Florida in February. His legal team appeared to take the upper hand in the case after a Florida judge said authorities didn't follow proper procedure in videotaping Kraft at Orchids of Asia Day Spa & Massage.

Trump said he was "surprised" by the charge against Kraft.

"Well it's very sad," Trump said, according to Bloomberg. "I was very surprised to see it. He's proclaimed his innocence totally."
