Rushers Lead the Way in Foxborough Football Win Over Sharon

The Warriors walk away with a 22-3 win.

A strong defense kept the Sharon Eagles out of the end zone while tough running by Keyon Neal and Ronnie Martin led the Warriors in their 22-3 win over the Eagles at Sharon High School.

Neal rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns, scoring the game’s opening touchdown on a 15-yard run with 2:54 left in the first quarter. A missed extra point kept the score at 6-0.

Adrian Lingo’s 33-yard field goal at the start of the second quarter cut the lead in half for Sharon but a pair of late touchdowns to close the half meant a 16-point lead for Foxborough.

Neal picked up his second touchdown at the end of an eight-play drive in the second quarter that saw the running back score from the goal line.

After a Sharon three and out, Balazs Busznyak‘s 27-yard punt return gave the Warriors great field position at the Eagles’ 21 yard line. A couple of plays later, quarterback Nolan Rogers found Derek Gilreath for a 13-yard reception with 43 seconds left in the first half.

Kyle Will’s 21-yard field goal in the third quarter locked up the win for Foxborough.

The Warriors improve to 3-1 and will host Milford on Friday night.
