Have You Seen The Route 128 Bandit?

DEDHAM, MA — A man who has allegedly been hitting banks up and down Route 128 is now wanted by the FBI's Boston office. Dubbed the "128 Bandit," the suspect has allegedly robbed or attempted to rob 12 banks along the highway and in Boston.
Officials say that the first case came in June 2016 when he attempted a robbery at a Citizens Bank in Cambridge. A year later, he made his first reported successful robbery at a Tremont Credit Union in Roslindale.
He most recently was active in Cambridge and Bedford last week, authorities said.

- July 31, 2017, Tremont Credit Union, 10 Corinth St., Roslindale
- August 18, 2017, Santander Bank, 1850 Centre St., West Roxbury
- August 31, 2017, Tremont Credit Union, 10 Corinth St., Roslindale
- September 14, 2017, Dedham Savings Bank, 55 Elm St., Dedham
- September 25, 2017, Bank of America, 35 Washington St., Wellesley
- October 2, 2017, RTN Federal Credit Union, 1205 Adams St., Boston
- October 3, 2017, Rockland Trust, 75 Moody St., Waltham
- Attempt: October 6, 2017, Citizens Bank, 673 VFW Parkway, Cambridge
- October 6, 2017, Bank of America, 158 Great Rd., Suite A, Bedford
In all 10 cases the robber wore a long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, and a dark baseball hat. He frequently carries a backpack. Each time, the robber passed a note and threatened a weapon, however he is not believed to be armed and dangerous, according to the FBI.
