Dorchester Man Sold Fentanyl In Quincy With 10-Month-Old In Car: Cops
The arrest came Tuesday after police allegedly saw what appeared to be a drug deal in Germantown.

QUINCY, MA — A Dorchester man faces charges after allegedly carrying fentanyl while driving with his 10-month-old child in the car.
Federico Lara, 26, was arrested Oct. 10 and charged with distributing a Class B drug, possession of a Class B drugs with intent to distribute, and reckless endangerment of a child, according to the Quincy Police Department. He pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment in Quincy District Court. He was ordered held on $1,000 cash bail.
At about 2:15 p.m. In Germantown, detectives observed the operator of a Honda CRV that appeared to be making a drug deal and conducting a delivery on Quarterdeck Road. A person at the home told police that they purchased drugs from Lara.

During a traffic stop that was conducted a short time later, police allegedly found 11 knotted glassine bags of tan powder believed to be fentanyl. Police also found Lara's 10-month-old child sleeping in the backseat. The Department of Children and Families was contacted and the child's mother was notified. She later came to the scene to pick up her son. The child was checked out by an EMS team and was determiend to be unharmed.
Police had been investigating Lara and had him under surveillance since January 2016.

Lara is due back in court Nov. 7.
