Level 3 Sex Offender Charged With Fondling Himself On Red Line Train

QUNINCY, MA — What started as a post on a Facebook page about a person fondling himself on the Red Line has led to the arrest of a Level 3 sex offender from Boston.

Anthony Sansone, 52, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with open and gross lewdness, according to MBTA Transit Police.

On Oct. 14, police were made aware of a video that was posted on Facebook and shared in the Quincy is Everything group that showed a man engaging in a lewd act while on a Red Line train the previous day. The person who posted the video said Sansone was allegedly playing with himself with a train full of people, including children.

The video led to the identification of Sansone as the suspect.
