Police have asked the public to watch out for phone scammers posing as Foxborough police officers to steal residents' money.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — Police have asked the public to watch out for phone scammers posing as Foxborough police officers to steal residents' money. The department said it received several complaints from people getting calls with Foxborough police's phone number listed on the caller ID.
Police said the scammers requested money and told residents a judge will issue an order against them if they didn't comply.
"Please be aware we will not call asking for money," police said in a statement. "Also calls from the 'Sheriff's Office' requesting money or else the judge will issue an order against you are a scam."
