Selectmen Remain Without a Chairman
The board will seek a remedy for the situation at Tuesday's meeting.

Call it a board without a leader.
With uncertainty over who is the chairman of the Foxborough Board of Selectmen, the board is hoping to find a resolution during their next meeting.
On May 26, the selectmen will address reorganization at 7:05 p.m. A new vote is expected to take place.

At their May 12 meeting, Jim DeVellis was voted the chair 3-2 but John Gray contested the results, accusing DeVellis, Mitchell, and David Feldman of a pre-planned action.
To avoid a fight at the start of the new board, DeVellis agreed to join Gray and Ginny Coppola in voting Gray as the chair. Despite no formal motion or second, Gray ran the meeting as the chair.

At Tuesday’s joint meeting between the selectmen and the permanent municipal building committee, board clerk Chris Mitchell was asked by Town Manager Bill Keegan to call the meeting to order. Selectman John Gray was not present at the meeting and the chair’s gavel remained untouched.
