Sentimental Sweater Goes Missing During Pats-Titans Game

D.J. Halpin was at Splitsville at Patriot Place Saturday night when someone took his grandfather's Patriots sweater.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A Bellingham man is pleading for the return of a sentimental sweater taken from him during Saturday's Patriots-Titans game.

Kathy Morin Halpin of Bellingham wrote on Facebook that her son D.J. Halpin was at Splitsville/Howl At The Moon at Patriot Place to watch the game Saturday night when someone took his sweater. The Patriots clothing item has special meaning to the family. Kathy said it was her father's sweater, who died 16 years ago, and D.J. has worn it for every Patriots game since he was 10.

Kathy told WBZ that she believes that someone took it by accident. Whoever took the shirt has been asked to return it to Splitsville, no questions asked.
