Splitsville and Foxborough School Team Up For Sam Berns Field Fundraising

Fundraising efforts for a concession stand at Berns Community Field are now underway.

Foxborough school officials are now revealing plans to fundraise for the concession stand at Sam Berns Community Field.

Superintendent Debra Spinelli announced this week that the school district will start efforts to raise $75,000 for the concession stand.

A large component of the fundraising will be multiple events at Splitsville at Patriot Place. On May 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be an adult night out. Tickets are $40 with Splitsville and the Foxborough Public Schools splitting the profits 50/50. Guests will enjoy a buffet, bowling, the Howl at the Moon band, and a cash bar.

Tickets are available at the Foxborough High School main office, through the Foxborough High School boosters, at the Foxborough Public Schools office, and at the town’s recreation department.

Plans are also being formed for a bowling tournament in late May or early June called the Foxborough Tournament of Champions. The tournament will be open to all members of the high school community. The school will get all the donations and registration fees from the event.

Fundraising shirts will also be sold at the Splitsville events, at the Ahern School during the town election, and at Founder’s Day.

From June 15-18, Foxborough High School will get a 20 percent profit on all dine-in and take-out at Splitsville with a flyer that will be distributed.

All proceeds from the events will go towards the concession stand.
