FOXBOROUGH, MA - From the New England Patriots: On Friday, March 23, Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots honored the MIAA Division 2 State Champion Foxborough High School girls’ basketball team at Gillette Stadium.
Greeted by a congratulatory message from the Kraft family displayed on the stadium’s HD video boards, the Lady Warriors stepped onto the field with their MIAA Division 2 State Championship trophy proudly in hand. The team posed for photos as the names of each varsity player and coach scrolled through the stadium’s ribbon boards. Following the field visit, the team toured the Patriots locker room before meeting Mr. Kraft.
The Patriots chairman and CEO congratulated the team on their state title and commended the players for their ability to overcome adversity in the most critical moments of their season, referring to the Warriors’ comeback victories in the MIAA Division 2 State Semifinals and State Finals en route to capturing their first state championship since 1995.

“Mental toughness and perseverance are what creates winners,” Kraft said. “Most people don’t have that, but you ladies personify it and we are so happy to be part of the Foxborough family and are so proud of your accomplishments.”
Knowing his audience, Mr. Kraft asked the team how many Taylor Swift fans were present. When the players offered an enthusiastic response, Mr. Kraft surprised the team with suite tickets to her opening night show of the “reputation Stadium Tour” on July 26th at Gillette Stadium. Shortly after the surprise, Mr. Kraft brought the team into the Patriots Trophy Room, where they posed for photos with the franchise’s five Lombardi Trophies.
