Suspect From Foxborough Hit and Run Found Sleeping in Car in Attleboro

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A Middleboro man faces charges following an alleged hit and run incident on Interstate 95.

James R. Nason, 61, was arrested early Monday morning and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. He pleaded not guilty during is arraignment in Wrentham District Court, according the Sun Chronicle.

At about 2:50 a.m., a minivan on I-95 South struck a Toyota Rav 4 and drove away. About 90 minutes later, the suspect's vehicle was found in Attleboro on Clifton Street near Jenna Drive. Police say the driver, identified as Nason, was sleeping behind the wheel with the engine on.

Damage to the minivan was consistent with the crash, police said.

The victim was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Nason is due back in court on Dec. 13.
