Police Find Swords, Stun Gun in Gillette Stadium Parking Lot

Swords, a stun gun and more were found by police Friday during the Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium.

At about 11:05 a.m., officers were notified of a suspicious male in the off-site employee parking lot. During a search and investigation of the suspect’s vehicle, an electric stun gun and several sharp-edged weapons were recovered.

The owner of the car, Matthew Bromson, 48, of North Granby, Conn., was arrested and charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of an electric stun gun, and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police called the incident isolated and at no time was there a threat to Gillette Stadium.

According to Patriots spokesman Stacey James, Bromson is not an employee at the stadium but was unaware how he was able to access the employee-only lot.
