Tangled Owl Freed By Foxborough Police

FOXBOROUGH, MA — An owl was taken into custody after getting stuck in a net at Friends Field.
At about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday morning, a resident reported an owl entangled in one of the nets at the field off of Chestnut Street. Officers were able to respond and free the owl. The animal was then taken to Tufts Veterinary Hospital in Grafton for a precautionary evaluation.
Later that afternoon, police reported that the owl was held for further observation, where additional medication and proper care will be administered. The owl will go though a test flight in their barn before being released back to the wild.
